Photography of retail product in Los Angeles often involves the skills I gained as a child playing with building blocks. Stacking and aligning these Dunkin' Donuts coffee pod boxes was very difficult. I had to make sure that the boxes were perfectly aligned, and that the sides showed in equal amounts. I used a ruler to make sure that everything was perfectly symmetrical. A tent with a softbox helped me enhance the wide variety of colors shown on this company's packaging. I took care to keep the brightest colors separated from one another. I had to retouch the photos on the boxes because the way they were printed on the cardboard showed off moire and flaws. Press printed photos on product boxes are often not consistent, meaning that the photo of the photo often requires additional retouching.
