As a product photographer who also loves her kitchen, I truly enjoy photographing kitchenware. For this image of a Guy Fieri knife set, my key challenge was showing off the texture and indentations on the blade surfaces without blowing out the highlights. To do this, I had to angle my strobe and also look through my viewfinder numerous times to find the exact angle of incidence. An angle of incidence is the same as the angle of reflectance, which means the angle at which the light is hitting a product and bouncing back in a way that shows off the most detail.
